As Eric pointed out, my dad, Bill Norris, was the founder and past president of the Korean War Veterans Association. My dad was wounded the first night of his second tour of duty; he was flown by chopper to a MASH field hospital and spent 6 months on a back-board in a Tokyo hospital.
Years later he was partially responsible for the construction of the Korean War Veterans Memorial in Washington, DC. I know of Mr. Neddo. He has quite a reputation in the local veterans community over the blatant mis-representation of his military record.
As a contrast to Mr. Neddo's dishonor consider Adm. Jeremy M. Boorda, Chief of Naval Operations, who killed himself in 1996 when faced with disclosure by a magazine article that he had claimed two Vietnam War decorations to which he was not entitled.
