Team Fruity: Tuesday Morning

Apparently Rudy and Al do the same thing on Tuesday mornings. They wake up and start putting together a meme for the world. Either that, or they've hire the same PR or whatever consultant that says it's cool or looks urgent and powerful when you date your missive with just ' Tuesday Morning '. It was Tuesday morning when I received it.

Just getting to read it during lunch today . . .

A Democratic Congress will serve as a rubber stamp for President Hillary Clinton. Higher taxes, socialized medicine, liberal judges writing laws from the bench, a state of denial about the Terrorists' War on Us . . . it's enough to give us nightmares. Only Rudy Giuliani can prevent this from becoming reality.

Yawn. Really ? Only Rudy ? Fascinating. Funny how Rudy mentions terrorists and nightmares in the same sequence. Little green men, He's taking the socialized medicine tact. Those old folks in Iowa want their health care, regardless of how you play it. But he's right, Hillary will be the nominee. Rudy's only realistic argument is that he could split NY enough to win those electoral votes. Saying that the Clinton camp considers rudy the only obstacle to the White House is quite clever. Strong leadership and proven results is not the reason however.

The Twelve Commitments. Greatness, empowerment, protection will all befall future generations if we go for Rudy and the Committments. Big ideas ! Real change ! Hurrah ! In bold:

Rudy Giuliani is the strongest fiscal conservative in the race for President.

Good thing I don't draw a big Ron Paul crowd here. I'm guessing the average big L libertarian who makes the ballot is the only one who can truly make that claim. Maybe the Constitutional Party nominee. I didn't really follow Rudy's fiscal way through NY, but I'm thinking he's cooking the numbers to his benefit.

Pax Rudy Americana:

Rudy also recently highlighted the importance of America's position in the world, and the American people's unique role in the human race. Our fortunate position of leadership and prosperity brings with it a great obligation to the global economy and a responsibility to strengthen our reputation around the world.

Are you listening Heartland ? He wants to spend ghastly amounts of money for Empire. Don't let your children go to war anymore. It's not about freedom or terrorism. He'll shuffle and dance when it comes to China, but he'll be sure to whack Iran and maybe Syria while he's at it. Thus we'll become more isolated than ever from fully functional and robust economies like Europe and the rest of Asia.

From here on out it's about the '12 Commitments' , his record and the Clinton attack machine not much to gnaw on, so let's flip to the twelve.

1. I will keep America on the offense in the Terrorists War on Us.
Ugh. So much for fiscal and grammatical responsibility.

2. I will end illegal immigration, secure our borders and identify every non-citizen in our nation.
Great a three thousand mile fence with Canada. Papers please.

3. I will restore fiscal discipline and cut wasteful Washington spending.
Yeah right.

4. I will cut taxes and reform the tax code.
Same as above.

5. I will impose accountability on Washington.
By marshal law ? it's all starting to sound the same . . .

6. I will lead America toward energy independence.
Why ? To sound like a Democrat ? If it ain't broke . . .

7. I will give America more control over, and access to, health care with affordable and portable free market solutions.
How generous. Too bad it's been taken away for so long. Hillary's going to win this one bud.
Caesar can taketh away too.

8. I will increase adoptions, decrease abortions and protect the quality of life for our children.
Papa Rudy ! Forced pregnancies won't work either.

9. I will reform the legal system and appoint strict constructionist judges.
Pipe dreams. All this talk.

10. I will insure every community in America is prepared for terrorist attacks and natural disasters.
Read, more pork for non-existent needs.

11. I will provide access to a quality education to every child in America by giving real school choice to parents ?
How ? Be co-opting a state's right to decide these matters ?

12. I will expand America's involvement in the global economy and strengthen our reputation around the world.
Leave that to businesses and tourists.
