Not only is he on the campaign trail with his wife, but Bill Clinton is burning up the campaign cash with a little note of his own to people. Apparently he can smell the taste of another round at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. This ought to be easy. He starts with;
The only reason to get involved in a campaign for President is that you believe a candidate will be the best President.
Not really. I'll support a monkey or slug, rather than think my vote for President has any value or meaning.
Whether it's a hippy anarchist or mealy mouthed radical, I'm perfectly happy to stand outside in the pouring rain and protest the hypocrisy and two-facedness of the average politician who has risen to a position to accept money from special interests and favoritism from a vapid press corps whose analytical skills amount to nothing more than naive hagiography.
Bill goes on to tell us about her charity to the poor in law school. The Children's Defense Fund work and part of the staff on the House Judiciary Committee. Aren't there some choice quotes/moves from that stint that were applied during your impeachment ?
I'm still torqued at Pat Moynihan for clearing the decks for the carpetbagging First Martyr. That disdain rivals the feelings for a pathetic GOP that can't even find a candidate to put up a good fight. I suppose 2012 would be the first possibility to try my own hand at it. We could be four years into a Lady Bubba White House though . . .
Hillary's whole life has prepared her for this moment, leading America's new start for the 21st century. She has the best combination of mind and heart - of leadership ability and feel for the human consequences of the decisions that a leader makes - of anyone I have ever known.
A bit thick, unh Bill ? Come on. If she's so good and capable as you say, why not just resign the whole Senate seat and go for it ? While you do mention the health care fiasco during your administration, you left out all the stuff at the Rose Law firm, the travel gate office ( who hired Craig Livingstone ? ) and numerous other gaffes and frauds perpetuated by yourself with her tacit approval. I think I've created more jobs in upstate NY than any of Hillary's 'innovative new projects'.
Independent energy ? Really ? When are you big government types going to learn that innovation and independence don't come at the point of a gun ? Health care ? It might be affordable if doctors and patients were allowed to have relationships without government sanctioned HMO's.
We'll forge an economy with less inequality and more opportunity.
Socialist code from the children of the Great Society. I know you may find this hard to believe, but I can't support any candidate for President whose existence is predicated on the parasitical regimes of law. Look what happened to the last two who were lawyers. The first resigned and the next one was impeached. We need a doctor or an engineer in order to meaningfully loof at problems and create real solutions. Another Clinton Presidency is not the answer. My wife already licked the empty envelope . . .
